This shot was taken for my photography course about Churches. My boyfriend :iconlemondog: and I went to Peterborough Cathedral to take a few photos and this was taken as a side thought after we had walked around the place.

This is my first attempt at HDRi Tonemapping. I took 5 shots in 1 stop steps from -2 to +2 EV.

I hope you like it as much as I do.

Wow, it's so surreal! The HDR really helps bring out some amazing detail and give it a really good feel.

this is totally awesome! Im still amazed at how good this is, the composition is fantastic and yes the HDR works incredibly well. Makes the light look wonderful!

Im not a fan of HDRs but there are single shots here on DA that push the HDR technique in the right light ;) and yours is one of them. nice work !

Thank You :D That means a lot to me coming from you. I am very pleased with it though, and will experiment more with it. Tbh I always thought HDR was over-done and a bit :s but I've found out now that it can be done very well and sensitively

Nicely done. But, and this has nothing to do with your photo, it just seems wrong for a cathedral to be packed full of folding chairs.

most of the HDR here on DA are really too much. The technique is original very nice, but the people have to learn how to work with it!

I'm confused; when taking a HDR images, you take several images at different exposures. That means nothing has to move during the time when taking those images right?
